Happy Cinco de Mayo to everyone. It’s a special day, we talked about it in the article The last emperor of Mexico. As I don’t have the necessary dancing skills to show a picture of me dancing, here is someone with real skills and proper outfit.
It remembers the Battle of Puebla at May 5th, 1862 – 4,000 Mexican soldiers on one, and 8,000 French soldiers on the other side. Needless to say, the Mexicans won, as it would hardly be a reason to celebrate, if they wouldn’t have. One year after Puebla was captured by the French anyway, but it is a good day to remember what was fought for and that sometimes you can achieve things, even if the path towards them looks very hard and success looks unlikely.
Anyway, happy celebration to those who celebrate.
